Acupuncture

Whether you are in the midst of your childbearing years or simply looking for some relief from daily life, acupuncture can help.  Acupuncture stands out in its ability to treat a broad spectrum of physical and emotional conditions while offering a relaxing moment of self-care.

Our goal is to treat and relieve your pain instead of using pharmaceuticals for temporary relief. By inserting tiny needles at specific points in the body, we can guide that movement more harmoniously. The positive effects of acupuncture vastly outweigh any concerns over the procedure.

Cupping
Cupping

Cupping is much like the inverse of massage – rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward, giving you the "Best Deep Tissue Massage."

Sometimes we can get "stuck" or sick due to prolonged stress or external pathogens. As the energy gets backed up, illness can take hold. The body has a tremendous ability to heal itself. It can invigorate blood flow to heal, thus creating "cupping marks" or temporary bruising. You may have seen these circular marks on some Olympic athletes. Also great for sports medicine!

Electro-stimulation

If thoughts of Frankenstein appear in your mind, fear not. Electroacupuncture does not hurt. There is no pain. "E-Stim" uses a small battery-operated machine like a tens unit to stimulate the needles for a deeper connection. The micro-current helps decrease pain and break up knots and crimps in the body.

It is often very soothing to the patient, providing a soft humming and a more fluid treatment, great for sports medicine!

Auricular Acu & Ear Tacks
Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular acupuncture regards the ear as a "microsystem" comprised of acupuncture points that coordinate to every part of the body; by stimulating key points of the outer ear with needles as in traditional acupuncture or ear tacks. Valid for various medical issues, including substance abuse, insomnia, smoking cessation, various types of pain, and more.

Ear Acupuncture for Weight Loss

The ear is another area that acupuncture practitioners target for weight loss. Somebody can stifle food cravings by stimulating particular points on the ear. This approach is similar to acupuncture practitioners' use to help smokers, and drug users battle their addictions.

Want a way to take your treatment home with you!?!
* We offer a complimentary ear tack with every treatment.*
There are 2 types:

Ear Tacks are tiny weeny needles that are left in your ear between acupuncture sessions to keep the effect of your treatment going. You can stimulate them to enhance their effectiveness with a tiny magnet that we send home with you.

Ear seeds (of the Vaccaria herb) are taped in place on the acupuncture sites. Also perfect for keeping the effect of your treatment going between your acupuncture sessions.  You can then massage these ear seeds two to three times a day when you have symptoms.

The beauty about these items is that they can be removed when you want and replaced by your acupuncturist at your next visit.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy helps melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. When coupled with massage, the direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist to access deeper muscle layers and encouraging blood flow throughout the body. Promotes deeper muscle relaxation

Back Massage
Tui na Massage
Tui na (pronounced "twi-na") includes what is popularly known as "acupressure,” therapeutic massage, and bodywork. Practitioners use finger pressure instead of needles to stimulate the acupuncture points and address specific patterns of disharmony between the yin and yang by manipulating the Qi in the acupuncture channels.
