What can you expect during your first acupuncture appointment?

acupuncture, gulf coast acupuncture and fertility, acupuncture pensacola, acupuncture near me, gulf coast acupuncture, gulf coast fertility,

Acupuncture has been practiced around 3000 years and it seems safe to say that it will be sticking around a while and is indeed not a fad. Your first visit will prove eventful! Our acupuncturist will enter chanting and burning sage; warding off any bad energy in the room…just kidding! We just wanted to make you giggle. Surely, some may have funny ideas in their head about what to expect when visiting an acupuncturist; so we figured this would be a great opportunity to demystify your first visit.

When a patient comes in for treatment our acupuncturist takes assessment of the “whole picture”. She is a Primary Care Physician, so the intake process is pretty thorough to ensure that all matters will be addressed. The first meeting will be longer than following treatments to have adequate time to go over the intake information and additional information from your specialist, blood-work, imaging, and any reports you may be able to request from your doctors. Our resident acupuncturist is also able to order and run many of these tests for you if needed.

In addition to addressing your primary concerns, most patients experience expanded benefits such as better sleep, more energy, and greater clarity in mind. Breaking the cycle of being overstressed, exhausted and in pain; or even helping just abating stress eating can be a game changer. This happens by activating and balancing the energy in the body, and by altering the way your mind, body, and spirit navigate through stress and pain. Acupuncture has also been proven to release feel good endorphins. So as you can see the benefits are abounding! We are accepting new patients now, so book your appointment to learn all the options that we have to help you on your continued journey of feeling well and thriving in these challenging times. Your health and well-being are the foundation for everything in life.
